Pekin bantams are known in the rest of the world as Cochin Bantams, although this is confusing as it is generally agreed that the Pekin has no connection with the Cochin and that it is a breed in it's own right.
The Pekin has a dual role as it is an very popular garden pet but at the other extreme is an exhibition bird.
The Pekin has curves everywhere with not a stiff feather in sight and it's looks has been likened to a ball of fluff on fluffy legs.
There are many colours available and they are a great birds to have in the garden, they are decorative, friendly, full of personality and lay approx 160 eggs per year.
